Makini maintains a comprehensive data model built from analyzing thousands of industrial systems. When data flows through Makini, we automatically transform it from the source system's format into our standardized structure. For example, purchase orders from SAP, NetSuite, and Dynamics all return with consistent field names, data types, and structures. This normalization happens in real-time as data passes through the API. You also have access to raw data if needed for specific use cases. The unified model covers common entities like purchase orders, work orders, inventory items, vendors, and assets, with extensive field coverage across systems.
Data synchronization frequency is configurable based on your requirements. For real-time needs, Makini supports webhook-based synchronization where changes trigger immediate updates. For scheduled syncing, common intervals range from every 15 minutes to daily, depending on data volume and business requirements. The initial sync after connecting a system retrieves historical data based on your configuration—typically 30-90 days of historical records. Subsequent syncs are incremental, retrieving only records created or modified since the last sync. Sync frequency doesn't affect pricing. You can also trigger manual syncs on-demand via API when needed for specific workflows.
Our standard SLA targets 99.9% uptime for cloud deployments, which translates to less than 9 hours of downtime per year. For enterprise customers with critical integration requirements, we offer enhanced SLAs up to 99.99% through multi-region redundancy and dedicated infrastructure. SLAs cover the Makini platform itself—availability of connected third-party systems is outside our control, though we monitor their health and alert you to issues. For self-hosted deployments, uptime depends on your infrastructure configuration, and we provide architecture guidance to help you achieve your availability targets. We maintain a public status page showing real-time system health and incident history.
Makini provides tiered support plans. Standard support includes email support with business hours response times, access to documentation and knowledge base, and webhook notifications for issues. Extended support adds direct access to our engineering team, faster response times including after-hours support for critical issues, proactive monitoring and recommendations, and assistance with custom development. Enterprise support includes dedicated support contacts, participation in architecture planning, quarterly business reviews, and priority feature requests. All plans include access to our API documentation, authentication guides, and community resources. Support hours can be added to any plan based on your anticipated needs.
