Blue Ridge Supply Chain Planning is a supply chain planning and demand forecasting platform for distributors. Makini's MCP server brings Blue Ridge Supply Chain Planning data and workflows to AI agents directly, with no custom integration to build.

Blue Ridge Supply Chain Planning is a cloud planning platform from Blue Ridge Global, an Atlanta company founded in 2007 and backed by Great Hill Partners, built mainly for distributors and manufacturers. It covers Demand Planning, Replenishment Optimization, Multi-Echelon Inventory Optimization, Supply Planning, Integrated Business Planning and Connected Planning for suppliers, with a generative assistant called Blu. HVAC, electrical, building materials, food and beverage and automotive distributors are typical customers.
Blue Ridge integrates with more than 40 ERP systems, including NetSuite, Infor, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, Acumatica and Sage, and is listed on the Infor Marketplace. The ERP supplies sales history, inventory levels, open purchase orders and supplier lead times, and Blue Ridge returns forecasts and order recommendations. Since October 2025 the vendor packages this as its ERP Connector, a managed integration with bi-directional sync, so planning data no longer moves by hand.
The Blue Ridge ERP Connector, launched on October 15, 2025, is a managed integration layer that moves data between a customer's ERP and the Blue Ridge planning platform. Blue Ridge says it supports 40 plus ERP systems, syncs in both directions with near real time updates and error handling, and cuts implementation time by about 30 percent, with NetSuite among the certified integrations. An MCP agent does not use it; it uses Makini's endpoint.
In Blue Ridge, demand planning produces the forecast: it reads sales history and demand signals and projects what each item will sell at each location. Replenishment Optimization turns that forecast into buying decisions, recommending what to order, how much and when, against supplier lead times and target service levels. Multi-Echelon Inventory Optimization then balances stock across the whole network, so a distribution center and its branches are not both over-buying the same item.
Yes, Makini provides an MCP server for Blue Ridge Supply Chain Planning. You sign in to Blue Ridge through Makini Link, Makini issues an MCP endpoint, and you add it to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another MCP client. Then call get_connection_details to see which objects the connection exposes; Makini's unified models include stock items, purchase orders and purchase requisitions, but what a Blue Ridge connection returns depends on that account and its data.
An AI agent can compare Blue Ridge order recommendations with open purchase orders when both systems are connected through Makini, since one MCP endpoint can reach Blue Ridge and the ERP. It reads suggested orders from the Blue Ridge connection, where exposed, and open purchase orders from the ERP connection, then flags items recommended for reorder that already have a PO in transit, or items with no PO at all. Buyers get an exception list.
Treat Blue Ridge as a read source first: forecasts, service levels and order projections are tuned by planners, and an agent overwriting them would undo that work. Makini's MCP tool list does include create_purchase_order, but a write succeeds only where the connection and the connecting user's rights allow it, and purchase orders normally belong in the ERP rather than in Blue Ridge. Let the agent prepare a proposal and a buyer confirm it.
Give the agent a Blue Ridge login that can see the items, locations and suppliers in scope, and no more, since the MCP connection is scoped to that login and every call is logged. Blue Ridge is SOC 2 Type II certified and uses role based access controls, so a planner role rather than an administrator role is usually enough for reading forecasts and recommendations. Credentials go into Makini Link, not the chat client.
