Gensuite EHS is an EHS and compliance management platform, covering incidents, audits, and inspections. Makini's MCP server gives AI agents direct access to Gensuite EHS data and workflows, with no custom development.

Yes, Gensuite is now Benchmark Gensuite. The software began inside GE in 1997, was spun out as Gensuite LLC in 2010, rebranded to Benchmark ESG under Benchmark Digital Partners in January 2021, and the Gensuite and Benchmark suites were then unified under the Benchmark Gensuite name. The company is based in Mason, Ohio and reports nearly 4 million users; the EHS applications, such as Incident Management and Compliance Calendar, kept their names.
Benchmark Gensuite lists more than 20 APIs across its applications, including Incident Management, Action Tracking System, Audit Assistant, Inspection Tool, Compliance Calendar, Concern Reporting, Equipment Tracker, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Observations, SDS System, Training Tracker, Ops Metrics and Sustainability Reporting. They bring in external data such as HR directory and hours worked feeds and push data out to other systems. The DXP Data Integrator adds file based, self service data exchange on top.
The Action Tracking System in Gensuite is the corrective and preventive action register: every finding from an incident investigation, audit, inspection or concern report becomes an action with an owner, due date and status that is tracked to closure. Incident Management records the event itself and its investigation, while Audit Assistant and Inspection Tool produce findings; all of them feed actions into the same list, which is why site EHS leads work in it daily.
To connect Gensuite EHS to Claude or ChatGPT, authorize your Benchmark Gensuite login through Makini Link, then paste the MCP endpoint Makini issues into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another MCP client. Your Gensuite credentials are entered in Makini Link, not in the chat client. Run get_connection_details next: it shows which objects and fields this connection exposes, and EHS records such as incidents, actions and inspections appear only where the connection supports them.
An AI agent can report on open corrective actions in Gensuite by reading Action Tracking System records where the connection exposes them, filtering by site, owner, due date and source, such as an audit finding or an incident investigation. Ask for actions overdue by more than 30 days grouped by site, or for incidents from the last quarter with no linked action. Confirm with get_connection_details that action records are exposed before relying on the report.
No, an AI agent should not close actions in the Gensuite Action Tracking System on its own; closure is evidence that a corrective action was verified, and auditors read it that way. Let the agent draft the closure note, attach the summary and notify the owner, and keep the final status change with a person. Where the connection and the user's rights allow writes at all, start with reads and test on a pilot site.
Genny AI is Benchmark Gensuite's own generative assistant, enabled across every subscriber instance since June 2025, with more than 20 helpers and agents inside the application for tasks like writing incident descriptions, summarizing documents and suggesting corrective actions. An MCP connection through Makini works from outside: your Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor agent reads Gensuite data alongside your CMMS, ERP or other systems through one endpoint. Use Genny inside Gensuite and MCP for cross system questions.
Benchmark Gensuite access is typically scoped by site and business hierarchy and by application role, and the MCP connection inherits whatever view the authorizing user has, so decide first which sites the agent should cover. Use a dedicated login with read access to Incident Management, Action Tracking System and Compliance Calendar for those sites, not a corporate administrator account. Every agent call through Makini is logged, so a narrow account keeps the audit trail clean.
