MRPeasy is a cloud MRP and manufacturing ERP for small manufacturers, aimed at companies with roughly 10 to 200 employees. The software is organised into CRM, Production Planning, Stock, Procurement and Accounting sections. Planners work with Manufacturing Orders, Bills of Materials, Routings and Workstations on the Production Schedule. Storekeepers handle Items, Stock Lots, Transfer Orders and Shipments, buyers manage Purchase Orders, Vendors and the Critical On-hand list, and sales staff track Customer Orders, Invoices and customer returns (RMA).
Where a connection exposes these records, the MRPeasy MCP answers questions that would otherwise mean switching between sections. A sales coordinator asks which Customer Orders due this week still have a Manufacturing Order that has not started. A planner has the agent check Stock Lots against the components on a BOM before releasing an order to the floor. A buyer reviews items on the Critical On-hand list next to open Purchase Orders from one vendor. The agent can also prepare a customer order with create_sales_order for a person to confirm.
You sign in to MRPeasy through Makini Link, then paste the MCP endpoint Makini issues into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another MCP client, and get_connection_details shows which objects and fields that connection offers. MRPeasy sets create, read, update and delete rights per section for each user, so connect a dedicated user with only the rights the agent needs. MRPeasy's own API lists purchase orders, vendors and shipments as read-only, so check get_connection_details before planning writes in those areas.

You can connect MRPeasy to Claude or ChatGPT through Makini: sign in to MRPeasy through Makini Link, receive a unique MCP endpoint with a token scoped to that login, and add it to your MCP client. Every call is logged and searchable. Then call get_connection_details to see which MRPeasy objects and fields the connection exposes before asking about orders or stock.
Yes, MRPeasy offers an MCP server at app.mrpeasy.com/mcp as part of its API version 2, which is in beta. It exposes every v2 GET endpoint as a tool, so the model gets read-only access, and it authenticates with your MRPeasy API key and secret. Makini's endpoint uses a Makini Link sign-in instead, and its tool list also includes write tools such as create_sales_order.
MRPeasy's REST API is available to paying clients on the Unlimited pricing plan. It uses HTTP basic authentication with an API key and secret found under Settings > Integration > API access, and an empty key disables the API. Version 1.0 is the stable release, while version 2.0 is in beta and adds more reports and the MCP server.
MRPeasy customer order statuses run from Quotation and Waiting for confirmation through Confirmed, Waiting for production, In production, Ready for shipment, Shipped and Delivered, plus Archived and Cancelled. They change stock: an order at Confirmed or later tries to book available products, while Shipped or Delivered creates a shipment and picks booked products. Cancelling an order releases its bookings.
Yes, where your connection and the MRPeasy user's rights allow it, since Makini's tool list includes create_sales_order and MRPeasy's API supports creating customer orders. The status sent with the order matters: Confirmed or later books stock immediately, and Shipped or Delivered creates a shipment. Have the agent create orders as Quotation and let a person confirm them.
In MRPeasy, filter manufacturing orders by their part status, which is tracked separately from the order status. Manufacturing orders move through New, Not scheduled, Scheduled, In progress, Paused, Done, Shipped, Closed and Cancelled, while the part status shows Received, Expected, Delayed, Not booked or Requested. An agent can list Scheduled orders whose parts are Delayed or Not booked, so a planner sees which jobs are at risk.
An MRPeasy admin should create a dedicated user for the connection and limit its user rights, which MRPeasy sets as create, read, update and delete rights per section, to the areas the agent needs. Read rights on CRM, Stock and Production Planning cover most questions. With Multiple Stocks and Production Sites enabled, each site keeps its own inventory and storage locations, so ask the agent for figures per site.
Yes, MRPeasy API limits can slow an agent, because the API processes one request per client at a time, allows at most 100 requests per 10 seconds, and returns 100 objects per list request by default and 1,000 at most. A question spanning a full year of orders may therefore need many calls. Narrowing it by date, status, site or product group keeps answers quick.
