Have any questions? We’re here to help You
Industrial systems are often heavily customized, and Makini is built to handle this. For reading data, Makini can access virtually any field or custom table in connected systems. Through the connection settings interface, you can specify custom fields, tables, or entities to include in API responses. These show up alongside standard fields in the unified model. For custom objects not in our default model, you can request them through the interface and they'll be available immediately. For writing data, customization support varies by system but covers most common scenarios. During implementation, we work with you to identify required customizations and ensure they're properly configured before going live.
Data synchronization frequency is configurable based on your requirements. For real-time needs, Makini supports webhook-based synchronization where changes trigger immediate updates. For scheduled syncing, common intervals range from every 15 minutes to daily, depending on data volume and business requirements. The initial sync after connecting a system retrieves historical data based on your configuration—typically 30-90 days of historical records. Subsequent syncs are incremental, retrieving only records created or modified since the last sync. Sync frequency doesn't affect pricing. You can also trigger manual syncs on-demand via API when needed for specific workflows.
Makini provides sandbox connections for testing without affecting production systems. Sandbox connections include sample data representing common scenarios: standard purchase orders, orders with custom fields, orders in various states (draft, approved, completed), and error cases like invalid vendors or out-of-stock items. Sandbox data is read-only for safety—write operations return success responses without modifying data. This allows thorough testing of your integration logic without risk. For testing with specific systems, we recommend using dedicated test instances of the actual systems (like SAP sandbox environments) connected through Makini, which provides the most realistic testing experience.
